The Nine Domains

The Nine Domains Approach  is a new way of understanding the universal principles of complex systems -- specifically how these nine principles apply to teams, organizations, or groups of any size. Each Domain is a core quality, and a necessary component of the whole of any complex entity.

The Nine Domains provide a way to measure how complete or comprehensive a team, group, or organization is at any given time—and therefore to see how well it is functioning. The Nine Domains Approach is especially valuable in business because results can be applied objectively and quickly, across the range of an entire group of any size, and solutions to problems can be designed which are highly specific for the group(s) involved

Our work with The Nine Domains starts with a “snapshot” of your team or organization, using the TOLAT (Team and Organizational Level Assessment Tool). The profile generated by this assessment allows us to identify with great precision those areas that your team needs to address to maximize impact and effectiveness. Using this information, we then develop a customized game plan for your team to close the gaps and release the full energies of team members. The Nine Domains Approach emphasizes systems thinking and holistic in­sight—always approaching problems from the point of view of the whole. We find that with clarity and precision, many problems that had been considered intrac­table or insoluble can be solved, or at least greatly improved.

The Nine Domains Approach is based on the work of Don Riso and Russ Hudson who have done over three decades of research and teaching about the Enneagram, the foundational model for The Nine Domains. derive from this foundational Enneagram model.
